Laundry Room

My laundry room is on the same level as the bedrooms-I love this!  I love that I don’t have to run up and down stairs.  Growing up, our laundry room was in the basement and I remember my parents running up and down all day and night for laundry.  It is truly a luxury to have it on the same level as the bedrooms.

The only thing that I have to go up and down for is the kitchen towels.  Luckily, the bathroom towels, and clothes are all upstairs.  So it makes folding and putting clothes away very easy.  The best part of the

Home Goods Helps Me With Turquoise

IMG_2071I need a splash of color in my living room/kitchen area.  All the deep brown and beige needs a pop of fun color to lighten the rooms.  I adore turquoise and I have used this to decorate when I lived in Hoboken.  So I had some decorations to put in the rooms to see how the color would look-and it looked amazing!

Home Goods has the most amazing home decorations.  I found a foot stool for only $29.99.  The foot stool is knitted and from the children’s section.  I suggest that when you are adding a light pop of color, ALWAYS look at the kid’s area.  This is a great place to find cheap pieces that help finish your room.

I was also able to snag a vase for only $19.99.  The only thing I had to ad were the long twigs that stick out of the vase to add height to the decorations of the room.

I was able to buy a pretty canister to put my coffee in for only $9.99.  And, I bought a beautiful turquoise teapot which I love!  The teapot was $19.99.

Just adding these small touches of color really add a lot to a room.

Home Goods Helps Me With My Living Room

IMG_2063I have been making a habit of going to Home Goods at least 4 times a week.  I know that sounds extreme.  However, they are constantly re-stocking and moving items.  So if you miss a week of going to Home Goods, you will walk in and there will be all new items.

I found a great tv console that was originally $500.  It was marked on the tag at $399.  Then, it was on clearance and we got it for $287.  What a steal!  My husband and I loaded it in the car and we carried it right home-it looks amazing!

I went two days later and found a cocktail ottoman that was only $120.  Online at many websites, there are many cocktail ottomans that are expensive and you are looking at spending an upwards of $300.  Again, I loaded it right in the car and brought it home.  I love when I am able to walk right out with furniture and see how it looks.

I also bought a tray for the cocktail ottoman to put food and drinks on.  The tray cost $19.99.
